The property already has about 20 kW of solar PV and a small hydroelectric plant in a former mill, which has supplied the family with electricity since 2017. According to Revolta, the owner had waited specifically for a sodium-ion home battery and named greater energy independence as the motivation. Revolta team members Julian Mattheis and Florina Thaler carried out the installation and commissioning.
Pilot rollout and pricing
Further installations at selected customer sites across Germany are planned over the coming weeks. Revolta supplies pilot customers with an additional measuring device free of charge to collect data on how the systems perform in daily operation. The findings will feed into development of its battery management system and firmware. pv-magazine.com
