Phnix Unveils GreenTherm One 6 kW All-in-One Propane Heat Pump
The single outdoor unit combines a heat pump and a thermal storage tank for heating, cooling, and on-demand domestic hot water.

Chinese manufacturer Phnix has launched GreenTherm One, an all-in-one air-to-water heat pump designed for residential heating, cooling, and domestic hot water, pv-magazine.com reported. The system incorporates a thermal storage buffer and primary hydraulic components directly into the outdoor enclosure, which removes the need for a separate indoor water cylinder pv-magazine.com

It delivers a nominal heating capacity of 6 kW, with an operating modulation band between 1.5 kW and 7.5 kW at an ambient air temperature of 7 °C and an outflow water temperature of 35 °C. When operating at an outflow temperature of 55 °C, thermal output spans from 1.4 kW to 7.0 kW. In cooling mode (A35/W18), capacity ranges from 1.36 kW to 7.5 kW.
Operational Parameters
Phnix reported a seasonal coefficient of performance (SCOP) of 5.1 at a 35 °C water outlet temperature and 3.85 at 55 °C pv-magazine.com

Acoustic measurements per EN 12102 indicate a sound power level of 55 dB(A) and a sound pressure level of 38 dB(A) at a distance of 1 meter.
The monobloc chassis measures 750 mm × 580 mm × 1,950 mm, weighs 185 kg, and connects to a single-phase 220–240 V, 50 Hz power supply. Nominal water flow is rated at 0.86 m³/h pv-magazine.com

Controls and Integration
The internal buffer tank stores heating medium rather than potable tap water. Hot water is generated on demand as fresh water circulates through the integrated heat exchanger, which reduces risks associated with stagnant water storage pv-magazine.com

Compressor speeds are governed by inverter controls based on building demand. The controller supports Smart Grid integration for scheduling around dynamic electricity pricing, alongside an optional iDrive Box to coordinate run cycles with rooftop photovoltaic output pv-magazine.com
