Anthropic secures $3.4 billion deal for gas generators
Anthropic has finalized a $3.4 billion agreement to supply its data centers with gas generators, totaling 1.7 GW capacity.

In the United States, Anthropic has struck a deal worth about $3.4 billion to supply its data centers with gas generators, as reported by Channel NewsAsia, citing the Financial Times. The agreement includes commitments for high-capacity generators with a total capacity of 1.7 GW from OnePWR Solutions, an equipment supplier based in San Antonio, Texas.
The Financial Times, referencing a source familiar with the matter, states that Anthropic did not acquire OnePWR, and the supplier's employees did not transition to the startup. The deal encompasses the engineering and construction capabilities necessary for the installation of the generators. Anthropic and OnePWR did not respond to requests for comment. High demand for the Claude family of models has driven the company to secure additional computing and power capacity.
