DJI officially launched the Matrice 5T on 5 November, a light flagship drone for industrial tasks, according to ithome.com. It is the company's first light industrial drone with lidar, millimeter-wave radar and a full-color omnidirectional vision system as standard. The official price in mainland China is 57,488 yuan. [1]

The drone carries a native 1K thermal camera and visible-light cameras with several focal lengths. It has IP55 protection, works from −20 to 50 °C and, according to DJI, flies up to 59 minutes. Per-axis thrust is 98% higher than on the Matrice 4T. [1]

Lidar detects power lines at 32 m in darkness, millimeter-wave radar keeps returning range data in fog, dust, rain and snow, and the low-light fisheye system provides visual positioning down to 0.5 lux. The wide camera outputs full-color images at 0.01 lux; the telephoto camera has 11x optical zoom. [1]

Onboard algorithms recognize more than 20 target types, and the compute is open for third-party onboard models. Dual 4G modules support transmission up to 40 km, with relay drones extending the range. DJI says 200 photos become a map in 8 minutes; propeller noise is 80 dB(A). [1]
