US startup RadianX has raised $9 million in venture capital and project financing to deploy an automated 6 MW production line, pv-magazine.com reported. The seed round was co-led by SOSV and Twynam, with participation from One Small Planet, Sahsen Ventures, Avila VC, California Innovation Fund, quantumEDGE, Riceberg Ventures, and Alumni Ventures [1]. Manufacturing partner Pacific Union Technology Precision Manufacturing will provide financing for the specialized equipment targeting connected consumer electronics and industrial trackers.

The company manufactures single-junction perovskite modules for indoor and outdoor light harvesting. According to RadianX, its thin-film modules feature an absorber layer under 1 µm thick deposited on glass or flexible films via low-temperature coating [1]. The firm reported certified conversion efficiencies of 22.33% on a 1.2 × 0.6 m form factor and 24.24% on a 300 × 300 mm aperture [1]. Under 500 lux indoor illumination, the devices demonstrate a power density of 50 µW/cm² and an indoor conversion efficiency of 38%.

## Module portfolio and structural dimensions

RadianX offers modules with thicknesses starting at 0.7 mm, enabling integration into low-power Internet of Things devices and wearable hardware [1]. The commercial lineup includes rigid glass AlphaGlass units and semitransparent AlphaVis modules, alongside flexible AlphaFlex devices under development [1]. Tunable bandgap values allow the chemical absorber to match artificial ambient lighting or natural solar spectra depending on the application envelope.

## Certification testing and production rollout

Independent testing confirmed module compliance with IEC TS 63163 across all three defined tiers, including Category 3 for sustained outdoor exposure [1]. The manufacturer stated that accelerated life testing demonstrates a projected field lifespan exceeding 10 years [1]. The automated manufacturing facility will expand the company's output from small-batch prototyping to industrial series fabrication for commercial hardware partners.
