## Key points

- Zero revealed the Project Ventura prototype at EICMA 2026.
- Zero quotes more than 20 kW of peak power and 130 km/h maximum speed.
- The target price is under £8,000 / €8,000, with deliveries by summer 2027.
- Ventura is based on the XE platform with 17-inch wheels.

Zero Motorcycles revealed Project Ventura, a prototype electric street bike in supermoto style, at EICMA 2026 in Milan on November 3 [1]. The California company, which marks its 20th anniversary this year, targets a price below £8,000 / €8,000 and says the bike will be ready to ride by summer 2027 [1][3].

## Project Ventura: power, speed and the XE platform

Ventura is built on the platform of Zero's XE off-road model, with 17-inch cast wheels, road tyres and new bodywork [2]. Zero quotes more than 20 kW of peak power, a sustained top speed of 105 km/h (65 mph) and a short-burst maximum of 130 km/h (81 mph) [1]. Standard equipment includes ABS, Bluetooth, integration with Zero's upcoming smartphone app and a built-in charger [1][2]. The bike is aimed at A1 licence holders from the age of 17 and at riders moving up from electric bicycles and light e-motos [2].

Battery capacity and charging time have not been disclosed yet. Range figures in early coverage differ: Visordown reports about 150 km (93 miles), while Cleanrider cites 120 km [1][3]. Zero also says the commercial name may change [2].

## Other Zero news at EICMA 2026

Alongside Ventura, Zero brought the LS3 electric scooter to Europe for the first time and announced updates to the XE, which becomes street-homologated [1]. The company has framed the show as the start of a broader 2027 line-up, including a new app for Ventura, the LS3 and its 2027 models [1][3].

## Our outlook

If Zero holds the sub-€8,000 target, Ventura would become its most affordable motorcycle and a direct rival to petrol 125cc supermotos. Battery size and certified range will decide how convincing that pitch is.
