Kia introduced its new PV7 electric van at the IAA Transportation event in Hanover, Germany, expanding its Platform Beyond Vehicle lineup, electrek.co reports [1]. The production vehicle is built on the dedicated E-GMP.S architecture, measuring 5,350 mm in length, 1,995 mm in width, and 1,990 mm in height, with a 3,500 mm wheelbase. Market launch for Passenger and Cargo versions is scheduled for the second half of 2027 in South Korea and Europe, with 23 body variants planned over the coming years.

## Powertrain specifications and charging performance

The front-wheel-drive powertrain delivers up to 200 kW (268 horsepower) and 420 Nm (309 lb-ft) of torque, with an all-wheel-drive configuration planned for later release [1]. Customers can select between two nickel-cobalt-manganese (NCM) battery packs with capacities of 71.5 kWh and 96.2 kWh. According to the manufacturer, the Long Range Cargo version provides an all-electric WLTP range of over 460 km (285 miles), while loaded operation provides nearly 400 km (248 miles) of driving range with 350 liters of remaining cargo volume. The 800V electrical architecture allows a 10% to 80% direct-current charge in about 25 minutes using a 350 kW fast charger.

## Payload capacities and cabin layout

The PV7 Cargo features a loading height of 550 mm and accommodates up to three Euro pallets measuring 800 x 1,200 mm [1]. The standard cargo variant offers up to 6.1 cubic meters of volume, while the High Roof option provides up to 8 cubic meters. Maximum payload reaches up to 1,165 kg (2,568 lbs) for the Cargo Long and up to 1,200 kg (2,645 lbs) for the compact model. The Passenger variant accommodates up to nine seats globally and up to 11 seats in Korea, featuring the Pleos Connect infotainment platform with 12.9-inch and 14.6-inch displays.
