# Hardt Hyperloop raises multi-million-euro round led by Green Rock after March bankruptcy

**Rotterdam-based Hardt Hyperloop closed an undisclosed round led by US firm Green Rock and signed an agreement to develop hyperloop projects across the Americas.**

Hardt Hyperloop, a Rotterdam-based developer of mobility systems, has secured a multi-million-euro investment, EU-Startups reports. The round was led by Green Rock, a US investment and project development firm focused on strategic infrastructure and technology. Existing investors and shareholders, including Perpetuum Ventures and Urban Impact Ventures, also took part. The exact amount has not been disclosed. [1]

The funding follows a bankruptcy. The company was declared bankrupt in early March 2026, which bankruptcy administrator Sjoerd Warringa confirmed to RTL Z. Its most recent annual statement had said that survival depended on fresh capital and that funds were available only until January 2026. [1]

## Hyperloop technology and test facility

Hardt Hyperloop was founded in 2017 by a group of students from Delft University of Technology. It develops technology for fast, energy-efficient transport of passengers and freight, and has spent years on the core systems: magnetic levitation, propulsion and high-speed lane switching. The company designs autonomous vehicles capable of speeds of up to 700 kmph. [1]

Its product portfolio includes hybrid electromagnet traction units, sensor systems for real-time air-gap control, silicon carbide-based magnet drivers and laminated steel track sets. It also offers application engineering and route development. Earlier, the company worked with Schiphol Airport on a hyperloop route plan. [1]

The core technologies have been tested and demonstrated at the 420-metre European Hyperloop Centre (EHC) in Veendam, the Netherlands. Prince Constantijn of the Netherlands was among the audience at a demonstration. [1]

## Plans for Europe and the Americas

With the new capital, Hardt Hyperloop plans to advance its technology, prepare for planned hyperloop projects across Europe and develop projects in additional markets. As part of the deal, it signed a strategic collaboration agreement with Green Rock to jointly develop hyperloop projects across North, Central and South America. [1]

"This investment marks a new chapter for Hardt Hyperloop after a challenging period, and enables us to continue with the development and deployment of our technologies," said Tim Houter, co-founder of Hardt Hyperloop. [1]

Green Rock founder Cindy Huang said the firm sees real demand in the Americas for fast links between cities and wants a technology partner that has built, tested and demonstrated the core technologies. In her words, Hardt is that partner. [1]
