A new specialized trade show for the kitchen and bathroom design industry, named KBX, will launch at the Business Design Centre in London from 15 to 17 September 2027, according to Exhibition World [1]. The event is organized collaboratively by the team behind the trade publication designerati and event organizer The Assembly. The platform is aimed at architects, interior designers, developers, housebuilders, retailers, and specifiers working on residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.

Confirmed founding partners for the debut event include manufacturers such as Blanco, Haier, Miele, Quooker, and Roman Showers [1]. The initiative is also supported by trade bodies including the Bathroom Association, the KBSA, and the British Institute of Fitted Interiors Specialists. Instead of traditional short-term stand rentals, the organizers plan to involve a limited number of invited commercial brands in 12-month partnership programmes. These structures will combine coordinated marketing campaigns, editorial coverage, and targeted introductions to specifiers both before and after the physical trade fair.

## Technology and Installations

The physical exhibition layout will feature dedicated functional areas, including an installation titled The Kitchen of Tomorrow developed in collaboration with Quooker [1]. This showcase will highlight emerging equipment, robotics, and advanced materials intended for modern kitchen environments. In addition, Quooker will partner on the FutureKitchen Conference, which will operate alongside a specialized bathroom wellness showcase and an interview stage.

## Programme and Operations

The Assembly co-founder Michael Dynan and exhibition founder Clara Perry noted that the format is structured to extend commercial engagement beyond the physical show days [1]. The event will also integrate the designerati Awards ceremony, scheduled for 16 September 2027. Operations will be hosted across the halls of London's Business Design Centre to provide long-term space for industry networking.
